Welcome
I use digital media, sound, and image to explore narrative, abstraction, and the spaces in between. Much of my work moves across video, motion graphics, and interactive design, often built in Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition. I’m equally invested in painting, where I translate digitally designed compositions into hard-edged acrylic canvases. These works sit at the boundary of representation and abstraction, suggesting liminal or unreal spaces through color, shape, and line.
Teaching is central to my practice. I’ve taught a wide range of courses in art, design, and digital media — from motion graphics and 3D modeling to UX/UI and post-production sound — at institutions in Los Angeles, New York, and Connecticut. Currently I teach full-time at CT State Housatonic Community College, where I lead courses both in-person and online, and continue to refine a student-centered approach grounded in experimentation, critique, and critical context.
I also curate exhibitions and create opportunities for dialogue around contemporary practice. In 2021, I founded SPANTZO Gallery on the Lower East Side, producing seven shows during the pandemic and later developing my doctoral research on alternative art spaces at Teachers College, Columbia University.
I hold a BA in Studio Art from Loyola Marymount University, an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, and I am completing my Ed.D. in Art and Art Education at Columbia.
Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to connect, collaborate, or learn more about my work.
