P.S. 58: The School of Heroes Mural

In June, 2023, I worked with the administration and the students of P.S. 58 in Queens, also known as the School of Heroes and designed and painted this unique mural on the retaining wall of the students' playground. I worked closely with the students as well as three other teaching artists to put this together and feel very proud of our collective efforts. This mural is seen by hundreds of students and parents everyday and is over 20 feet long and 6 feet tall. The aim of the mural is to represent the enormous diversity of the student body at P.S. 58 by showing the national origin of the characters and the students themselves.
